Air Academy came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Bayfield, but Lauren Rich wouldn't allow it. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kadets on Saturday thanks in part to Rich, who had 12 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Air Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shelbe Lyons, who had 11 digs and one assist. Aurelia Matzelle was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Bayfield has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Air Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Bayfield and St. Mary's Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Air Academy, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Severance on the 7th.
