Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Fairfax Lions walked away with it. They took down Arleta 35-17 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fairfax.
Fairfax's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sebastian Ikolo led the charge by picking up 104 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ivan Levant also helped out by tossing the rock for 282 yards.
Fairfax has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Arleta, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.
Fairfax will be staying on the road on November 17th to face off against Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Arleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
