Washington Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 68-45 margin over Don Bosco Cristo Rey. Washington Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, even though Mt. Zion Prep Academy scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, King's Christian Academy still came out on top. King's Christian Academy escaped with a win against the Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60. The win was all the more spectacular given King's Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Warriors are ranked 13th).
King's Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Earl Edmonds led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Diallo Long, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Washington Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for King's Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
