Loomis is 4-0 against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Loomis Wolves will head out on the road to face off against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 7:45 p.m. Loomis is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Saturday, Loomis came up short against Southern Valley and fell 46-39.
Despite the loss, Loomis had strong showings from Cale Nelson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Tyson Essex, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Meanwhile, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 62-32 win over Franklin. The victory was just what Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] needed coming off of a 59-37 loss in their prior game.
Loomis has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Loomis didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 75-71 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loomis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
