After flying high against the Groesbeck Goats on Thursday, Manor New Tech came back down to earth. Manor New Tech was dealt a 91-49 loss at the hands of Liberty Hill on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Manor New Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 888th, while Liberty Hill is ranked 190th).
Despite the loss, Manor New Tech saw an underclassman step up: Isaiah Kinard scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds. The contest was Kinard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keylan Morgan ll, who scored 6 points along with 4 steals.
Manor New Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Liberty Hill, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manor New Tech will take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chaparral focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Monday. As for Liberty Hill, they will be playing at home against East View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
