6A Conference 7 recap October 1, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 7 this week, Lake Braddock beat Annandale 68-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Lake Braddock took down the Atoms 68-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
LeVaughn Davis was a passing and rushing force as South County topped Lee. Davis' key target this week was Kevin Quigley, who caught 2 passes for 61 yards.
Davis was the best running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 200 yards as the Stallions topped the Lancers. David Symmes also contributed to the rushing game with 74 yards on the ground.
6-foot-2 quarterback Darius Holland of T.C. Williams is the league leader in passing yards this season with 475. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Quigley. The South County star has 7 catches for 221 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when West Potomac takes on Jim Poythress' team. At the moment, the Wolverines are in fifth, while the Bruins are in first.
