The Canyon View Falcons won the last time they faced the Delta Rabbits, and things went their way on Thursday too. Canyon View walked away with a 54-46 victory over Delta.
Canyon View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Nichols led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six steals and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Maylee Spencer, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Canyon View now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Delta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Canyon View will be playing at home against Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carbon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Delta, they will head out on the road to face off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Delta in Utah (Richfield is ranked 24th, while Delta is ranked 101st).
