Oregon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over the Stockton Blackhawks. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 40-30 loss the last time these two teams met.

Oregon's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Stockton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Oregon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bureau Valley at 9:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025. Oregon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Bureau Valley likes a good challenge. As for Stockton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ashton-Franklin Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
