Winnfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylon Jackson, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Jackson's third in a row with at least ten points. Craig St Cyr was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Homer are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Winnfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homer will take on Haynesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Haynesville is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Winnfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Red River at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
