Eastern Greene lost to Tecumseh 55-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Briar Martindale threw for 150 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 49 yards in the loss.
Wood Memorial led Southwest Seven in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Union.
North Central's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dillon Bailey threw for 111 and 3 touchdowns and Chase VanSchoyck had 73 yards receiving. On the ground VanSchoyck chipped in 127 yards. Ben Lewis helped North Central's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
The Thunderbirds' dynamic duo of Bailey and VanSchoyck proved to be unstoppable against Linton-Stockton, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lewis helped North Central's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Martindale provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Eastern Greene lost to the Braves. Martindale's favorite target this week was Jeffrey Graham, who caught 2 passes for 51 yards.
He went 7-15 with 2 interceptions.
Luke Dean's team's Martindale and Cody Hopkins have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Martindale has thrown for 1,963 yards this season, while Hopkins has 30 catches for 808 yards. VanSchoyck from North Central leads the league in rushing with 2,222 yards.
Going into this week's contest against North Posey, the Thunderbirds' Martindale needs 37 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
Travis Nolting's team's Bailey is a mere 18 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 133 carries Bailey has accumulated 982 yard this year.
VanSchoyck broke off the longest rushing play in the league this week with a 54-yard run against the Miners. VanSchoyck ended up with 127 yards rushing as the Thunderbirds lost to Linton-Stockton.
