Eastern is 6-0-1 against Glenwood since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.6 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Eastern made easy work of Western and carried off a 23-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.
Kenleigh Bapst made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Libby Poorman was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Lynnleigh McCollister was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Glenwood challenged Clay on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Eastern's win bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for Glenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
Glenwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastern has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Glenwood, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Eastern's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eastern got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Glenwood by a conclusive 28-2 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
