While Jay's win against Walton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Braves on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won five in a row.

Jay saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Jay's record now sits at 9-3. As for Walton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jay will square off against West Florida Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Conquerors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.2 runs per game on average), something the Royals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Walton, they will face off against Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
