After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sundown, Post was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Morton Indians a 15-0 shutout. The Antelopes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by nine runs or more this season.
Soffi Scott was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Post got a big performance out of Hannah Abraham, who went 1-for-2 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave Abraham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zailey Perez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
Post always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They are 9-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Post's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Morton, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
