The Edison Vikings will square off against the Chavez Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Edison had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Stagg on Thursday. The Vikings never let the Delta Kings get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Alicia Leiva tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Angeleya Miranda was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaiya Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Edison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stagg only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Chavez came up short against Franklin on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Chavez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. It's a different story for Chavez, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain Edison's hitters?
Everything went Edison's way against Chavez when the teams last played back in March, as Edison made off with a 14-4 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
