The Warren County Eagles pushed their score all the way to 42 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Pender at home by a decisive 58-42 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Monday (34), Warren County still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Jeremiah Johnson, who rushed for 410 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Rawls, who rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Warren County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Pender, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-6.
Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pender will head out on the road to face off against West Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Columbus will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
