Even though the Belmont Cardinals scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, the New Site Royals still came out on top. New Site managed a 63-58 victory over Belmont. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Site.
Despite the loss, Belmont saw an underclassman step up: Khalil Luster scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Luster's 13th in a row with at least ten points.
New Site is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Belmont, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 9-5.
