After four games on the road, Kennedy is heading back home. They will take on the Leroy Greene Academy Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kennedy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Kennedy was able to grind out a solid victory over Edison, taking the game 44-36.
Dondre Prothro was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Noah Hayes Ii was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Leroy Greene Academy is still winless after their game against Foothill on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Leroy Greene Academy fell just short of Foothill by a score of 52-49. While losing is never fun, Leroy Greene Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 714th, while Foothill is ranked 322nd).
Kennedy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 0-4.
