The Mountlake Terrace Hawks lost against the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mountlake Terrace fell just short of Edmonds-Woodway by a score of 13-10. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountlake Terrace in their matchups with Edmonds-Woodway: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Mountlake Terrace still got an impressive performance from Zaveon Jones, who gained 194 total yards. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edmonds-Woodway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rashaad Gerona-chatters, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Diego Escandon did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
Mountlake Terrace has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Mountlake Terrace will be playing at home against Stanwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Stanwood is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Edmonds-Woodway, they will head out on the road to face off against Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on October 28th. Ferndale presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edmonds-Woodway in Washington (Ferndale is ranked 35th, while Edmonds-Woodway is ranked 113th).
