The Clyde Fliers will head out on the road to face off against the Norwalk Truckers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Clyde focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Clyde's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end. They walked away with a 63-53 win over Vermilion.
Brayden Olson was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cedric Messer, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Norwalk beat Olmsted Falls 50-43 on Saturday.
Clyde's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Norwalk, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Clyde came up short against Norwalk when the teams last played back in January, falling 76-64. Can Clyde avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
