The Fort White Indians gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They managed a 46-42 victory over Bell. That's another feather in the cap for Fort White, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Isreal Hart was on fire: she scored 38 points.
Bell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddie Smith, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals, and Dacy Graham who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points.
Fort White's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort White will take on Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Trenton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Tuesday. As for Bell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Branford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
