Even though Victory Rock Prep scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, Balboa School still came out on top. Balboa School slipped by Victory Rock Prep 71-70. The win was familiar territory for Balboa School who now have three in a row.
Leading Balboa School to victory were Jahmarian Forrester and Jamaal Phatty. Forrester scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Phatty scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Fernando De Los Santos, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Balboa School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Victory Rock Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Balboa School will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Victory Rock Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on ABF Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th.
