Deering lost to South Portland the last time the two teams met, but they didn't allow South Portland the same satisfaction this time around. Deering got past South Portland with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 13-7.
The win bumped Deering's record up to 3-5. The defeat dropped South Portland's record to 1-5.
Next week Deering take on Sanford at 7:00 PM. Sanford are cruising in on a four-game winning streak. As for South Portland, they will face off against Edward Little. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
