Inchelium is 0-10 against Wellpinit since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Inchelium Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Wellpinit Redskins at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Inchelium posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They skirted past Mary Walker 53-50.
Meanwhile, Wellpinit put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They beat Oakesdale by the very same score they won with last week: 82-53. The win was familiar territory for Wellpinit who now have four in a row.
Inchelium is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Wellpinit, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Inchelium was dealt a bruising 67-39 defeat at the hands of Wellpinit when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Inchelium avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
