Even though the Smoky Mountain Mustangs scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, the Erwin Warriors still came out on top. Erwin secured a 74-69 W over Smoky Mountain. Given Erwin's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while Smoky Mountain is ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
