Pickens is 2-7 against Westside since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pickens Blue Flame will be playing at home against the Westside Rams at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Pickens is ranked 14th, while Westside is ranked 12th).
Pickens has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenville.
Meanwhile, Westside stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Greenwood as Westside made off with a 60-36 victory. Winning may never get old, but Westside sure is getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Pickens' loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-4. As for Westside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
