The North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hillside Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on December 26th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, North Raleigh Christian Academy was beaten by Panther Creek 76-49. While losing is never fun, North Raleigh Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Panther Creek is ranked 32nd).
Meanwhile, Hillside struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (Rolesville was 27% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Hillside was outmatched by Rolesville on the road and fell 63-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hillside has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Hillside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kayden Sims, who scored six points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Malone, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Hillside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
North Raleigh Christian Academy was taken down by Hillside 92-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2016. Thankfully for North Raleigh Christian Academy, Elisia Grissett (who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
