After losing to Loara the last time they met, Katella decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Katella Knights' way against the Loara Saxons on Friday as the Katella Knights made off with a 61-40 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Katella's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dillon Curtis led the charge by going 8 for 14 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Damian, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Katella was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

The victory got Katella back to even at 5-5. As for Loara, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Katella will take on Paramount in a tournament on Thursday. Katella is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. Loara and Nogales will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
