Baseball Recap: Grand County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grand County entered their tilt with Providence Hall on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Patriots. With that victory, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Caden Swasey was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Breckin Shepherd, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.

Grand County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Grand County's record now sits at 10-11. As for Providence Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Grand County will head out on the road to challenge Duchesne at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Providence Hall, they will welcome Granger at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
