After two games on the road, New Braunfels Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on The Central Texas Christian Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, New Braunfels Christian Academy took a serious blow against Sacred Heart, falling 45-17. New Braunfels Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-3.
Despite the defeat, New Braunfels Christian Academy had strong showings from Dillan Wickham, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and Crew Wright, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wright's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.
Meanwhile, Central Texas Christian got themselves on the board against St. Paul on Friday, but St. Paul never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over the Cardinals at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Central Texas Christian just coasted through the last quarter.
Tabor Tyson was a one-man wrecking crew for Central Texas Christian as he rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown. Tyson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
New Braunfels Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Central Texas Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-4.
