Ashland has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Keefe Tech Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Friday, Ashland ended up a good deal behind Dover-Sherborn and lost 66-47. Ashland has struggled against Dover-Sherborn recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Keefe Tech has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 49-40 to Bay Path RVT on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Keefe Tech came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Bay Path RVT is ranked 286th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from George Anastos, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Eidan Toppa, who scored 14 points.
Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Keefe Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Ashland came up short against Keefe Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 51-45. Can Ashland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
