While North Stokes's victory against Alleghany wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 6-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

North Stokes' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Mabe, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Emiley Rogers also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

North Stokes' win bumped their record up to 4-9-1. As for Alleghany, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

North Stokes didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-6 victory against Mount Airy on the 15th. As for Alleghany, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-0 defeat against East Wilkes on the 15th.
