Wittenberg-Birnamwood waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Amherst Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Amherst, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood will venture away from home to face off against Manawa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
