Liberty have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Thursday. They take on Assumption . Neither Liberty nor Assumption could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
Things haven't been easy for Liberty, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They were given a punishing 0-35 defeat at the hands of Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland. The state rankings had actually given Liberty a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Assumption came up short against Clear Creek-Amana last Friday, falling 7-17.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
