The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Batesburg-Leesville in their matchups with Strom Thurmond: they've now lost nine in a row.
It was another big night for Katlyn Chinn, who scored 19 points along with four steals for Strom Thurmond. Chinn has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lawson Lowe, who scored six points along with three steals.
Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Strom Thurmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
