Jace Maebe and Mario Pedraza made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Maebe tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Pedraza tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Maebe has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Maebe went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Pedraza got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Maebe has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Uebel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Ricky Gonzalez was another key player, earning three runs and one stolen base.
Williams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patagonia only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Superior played in-conference for the first time on Saturday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against San Manuel as they made off with a 13-4 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Miners since March 15, 2022.
Ryland Duarte was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 5.2 innings pitched. Duarte was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
Williams' win bumped their record up to 20-7-1. As for Superior, their victory bumped their record up to 7-17.
Williams got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Superior by a conclusive 15-5 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
