The Eastland Christian Hurricanes lost against the Heritage Christian School Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eastland Christian received a tough blow as they fell 45-29 to Heritage Christian School. Eastland Christian has struggled against Heritage Christian School recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Heritage Christian School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Reid, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists. Reid is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Jeremiah Reid was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Eastland Christian bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Heritage Christian School, North Kissimmee Christian, and Heritage Christian School. As for Heritage Christian School, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastland Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Family Christian Academy on January 23rd. As for Heritage Christian School, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against North Kissimmee Christian at 7:30 p.m. North Kissimmee Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 684 points over their last eight games.
