Given Classical's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Berean Academy is ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Classical's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Young, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Wilkey, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
