The Belle Chasse Cardinals had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They skirted past Pope John Paul II 55-53.
Kyle Reeves was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Hughes Ingram, who scored 12 points.
Belle Chasse pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Pope John Paul II, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Belle Chasse will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lakeshore at 5:00 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Lakeshore is ranked 113th, while Belle Chasse is ranked 124th). As for Pope John Paul II, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pearl River at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th.
