Cale Briggs posted a new career-high in stolen bases on Wednesday. He scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He was up against Soda Springs and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024. Briggs has become a key player for Malad: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Briggs' strong effort led Malad over Soda Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
