Mount Tahoma can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Silas 54-0 on the road. Given Mount Tahoma's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Silas is ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tre' Walker was on fire: he rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Walker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. Felix Diaz was another key contributor, rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Meanwhile, Lakes fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Lincoln on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abes.
Exavier Mcchristian put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns.
Mount Tahoma has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Lakes, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4.
Mount Tahoma was taken down by Lakes 51-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Mount Tahoma, Leo Pulalasi (who rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
