David Burgess Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Dougherty had to settle for second even though David Burgess put up the best numbers he has all season. Burgess threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Duncan Jr and Cairo will head out to challenge Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Duncan Jr up against the Trojans' star wideout Cam Cherry. The only thing left to do is find out who's the greater deep ball threat. You'll have to watch the game to know for sure.

Amarion Donaldson Turns in Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles
Sadly, Amarion Donaldson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Bainbridge over Peach County on Friday. Donaldson wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). The match was his fifth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

Smith and Bainbridge will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dougherty at 8:00 a.m. on November 1st.
