The Olympic Trojans will square off against the Ragsdale Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Olympic comes in on eight and Ragsdale on three.
Olympic proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 28) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hickory Ridge, sneaking past 16-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Ragin' Bulls are ranked 201st).

Olympic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Nixon, who rushed for 156 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Nixon's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 156 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Chance Cato, who rushed for 57 yards on only eight carries.
Olympic didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Hickory Ridge to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Travis P for the heroic effort on defense: he. Olympic hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.59 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ragsdale). They really took it to Southwest Guilford for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-13 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 29-point advantage.
Ragsdale found their leader in sophomore Cameron Mason, who picked up three sacks and made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
One reason for the win was Ragsdale's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 11 sacks. Mason and Bryson Covington were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Kingston Chandler also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 13.
Olympic's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Ragsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Olympic has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 363.1 total yards per game. It's a different story for Ragsdale, though, as they've been averaging only 232.4 total yards. Will Olympic be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Tigers flip the script?
