The Princeton Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Woodrow Wilson will be up against a hot Princeton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Princeton blew past Hoover 66-45 on Saturday.

Carley Hurt was a one-woman wrecking crew for Princeton as she went 6-for-13 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hurt a new career-high in assists (four). Asia Collins was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with eight boards and five assists.
Princeton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Woodrow Wilson's strategy against Riverside last Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Woodrow Wilson blew Riverside out of the water with a 56-24 final score. Given the Flying Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Warriors are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Woodrow Wilson's win came from a few key players Princeton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Donya Burton, who went 7-for-14 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. She has become a key player for Woodrow Wilson: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 15 points, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Williams, who went 7-for-15 on her way to 17 points.
The victory made it two in a row for Woodrow Wilson and bumps their season record up to 9-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Princeton, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Princeton has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Woodrow Wilson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Princeton strolled past Woodrow Wilson in their previous matchup on February 6th by a score of 50-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
