Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Seton Hall Prep blew East Side out of the water with a 70-38 final score. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Hall Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gino Romano, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alex Ante, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, St. Benedict's Prep had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They walked away with a 64-55 win over College Achieve. Given St. Benedict's Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while College Achieve is ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Seton Hall Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for St. Benedict's Prep, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
