Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Montgomery Central beat Asheboro 59-54 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Montgomery Central.
Oak Grove pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26 points. As for Montgomery Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Oak Grove against Montgomery Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 74-33 win. With Oak Grove ahead 45-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
