Richfield is 8-2 against Castleford since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Richfield Tigers will host the Castleford Wolves at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Richfield lost to Dietrich at home by a 37-19 margin. The Tigers have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Richfield got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Malia Kent and Kallee Hendren, who each put up six points. Kent also led the team in assists with two.

Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, Castleford came out on top. They managed a 46-42 win over Hansen on Monday.

Richfield better focus on containing Emma Mitton and Reata Severe as the pair were huge in Castleford's win. Mitton almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Severe posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Oaklee Skinner, who had seven points and 21 boards.

Castleford now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Richfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Richfield has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 28.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Castleford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Richfield came up short against Castleford when the teams last played on January 6th, falling 48-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Skinner, who went 10 of 11 en route to 23 points and eight boards.
