The Columbiana Clippers will be taking part in a tournament against the Memorial Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Columbiana's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
Columbiana easily dispatched United two weeks ago, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Columbiana fell just short of Mathews by a score of 70-68 last Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (65), the Clippers still had to take the loss.

Columbiana's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cooper Brown, who went 9-for-18 en route to 24 points along with three steals and three blocks, and Seth Struharik, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 21 points and five boards. Struharik's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Luca Cagliuso, who posted nine points.
Even though they lost, Columbiana was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Memorial came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Indians to the tune of 81-49. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Columbiana better keep an eye on Josue Rodriguez. He was instrumental in Memorial's win, dropping a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Rodriguez has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Teyon Harris Jr., who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.
Memorial's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.7 points. As for Columbiana, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Columbiana has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Memorial struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.2 boards.
