Ogden International will head out on the road to challenge the Crane Medical Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ogden International is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Ogden International won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. Their tough 71-47 loss to Jones might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ogden International in their matchups with Jones: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Crane Medical waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Raby, posting a 74-44 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Crane Medical has posted against Raby since November 28, 2018.
Crane Medical's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but LaVelle Hardy led the charge by scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Hardy continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dontea King, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Ogden International has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Crane Medical, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Ogden International barely slipped by Crane Medical when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 68-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ogden International since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
