The DeMotte Christian Knights will head out to  face off against the Whiting Oilers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. DeMotte Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
DeMotte Christian is headed into Tuesday's   match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Monday. They came up short against  North White, falling  16-9.
  Allie Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.  Abby McCarty was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Whiting had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past Victory Christian Academy  12-11.
 Lilianna Bell was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and six unearned) runs off   six  hits. Bell was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Arianna Vianello was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Lily Morando, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 DeMotte Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Whiting, their record now sits at 7-9.
 Whiting's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Tuesday. DeMotte Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.7  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Whiting, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.5  strikeouts. Will DeMotte Christian keep running through batters, or will the Oilers buck the trend?
