Van Vleck came out on top against East Bernard by a score of 47-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Van Vleck.
Corey Austin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Van Vleck's points. Micah Burks was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
East Bernard's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddox Crist, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Guthman, who scored eight points.
Van Vleck is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for East Bernard, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
Van Vleck will be playing at home against Harmony School of Discovery at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harmony School of Discovery is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for East Bernard, they will head out on the road to challenge Danbury at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Danbury is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
